At this morning’s conclusion of the Dubai 7s series, the Black Ferns Sevens team finished as runners-up, while the All Blacks Sevens lost to Argentina.
The Black Ferns faced off against fierce rivals, Australia, and despite a strong effort, including scoring four tries, they couldn’t overcome the Wallabies.
Meanwhile, the All Blacks missed out on a medal after losing to Spain in the quarterfinals and later failing to score in their playoff against Argentina for third and fourth place.
The Dubai 7s marks the start of the annual Sevens calendar, and now both teams turn their focus to the second leg of the World Sevens Series, the Cape Town 7s, this coming weekend.
