Research commissioned by The Selwyn Foundation last year found that over a third of seniors in NZ experience vulnerability. Currently, there are at least 37,500 seniors in Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau who are experiencing multiple disadvantages with older Māori and Pacific people experience particular inequity and adverse outcomes.
