Cultural shift at port
Port of Auckland has creates a new position to boost support for its Pasifika staff who make up 30 percent of the work force.
Vanessa Wolfgramm has stepped into the role will help develop career pathways and leadership progression for Pasifika staff.
She has also been actively involved with the port’s te ao Māori journey and says the foundation work done by the Māori leadership group and Māori strategy framework have paved the way for the new role.
Māori outcomes manager Paul White says he has seen a remarkable turnaround in port culture over the past two years and the new Pasifika position is a major milestone.
