The Government yesterday announced 15 projects, including the upgrade to the Brynderwyn road, Whangarei to Port Marsden, Warkworth to Wellsford, the East-West link in Auckland, a Hawke's Bay expressway, a second Mt Victoria Tunnel in the capital and a motorway from Belfast to Pegasus north of Christchurch.

Transport Minister Simeon Brown says the estimated $17 billion cost will be paid for with private public partnership investment, with Waka Kotahi
Land Transport tasked with seeking international investors.
