Henare ahead in Tāmaki Makaurau


A new poll shows Labour’s Peeni Henare with a 10 point lead to hold Tāmaki Makaurau.
The Curia Research poll of 500 people done for Whakaata Māori shows Mr Henare at 37 percent, followed by Te Pāti Māori’s Takutai Natasha Kemp on 27 percent, National’s Hinurewa te Hau on 9 percent and Darleen Tana for the Greens on 6 percent,
Labour would take 35 percent of the party vote followed by 23 percent for Te Pāti Māori. National 10 percent and Greens percent..
Cost of living was the most important issue among those polled, followed by the economy, law and order and poverty.
