ACT Party leader David Seymour is telling National it’s him or Winston.
He says Winston Peters has a history of failed coalition relationships.
He has ruled out a three way coalition with National and New Zealand First.
“What you would see is ACT sitting on the cross benches keeping them all honest. If Winston Peters was a part of the Government you’d need ACT to keep them honest more than you do now,” Mr Seymour says.
The latest Newshub Reid Research poll gives National and ACT a total of 63 seats in the 120 seat parliament, with New Zealand First at 4.1 percent – not enough to make it back to parliament.
