Podcast brings current affairs to rangatahi

A new online series is using humour to engage rangatahi with current affairs.

The Spinoff’s 2 Cents 2 Much is described as a bite-sized chat show hosted by comedian Janaye Henry about the issues affecting young people in Aotearoa today.

Henry says she’s using skills gained from comedy, education and theatre to make deep topics accessible.

“Rangatahi get a really rough rap when we talk about youth politically, that they’re not engaged and don’t care. I’m chronically online and I know that we do care heaps about so much stuff but the places the conversations are happening aren’t necessarily where we are,” she says.

New episodes of 2 Cents 2 Much are released every Tuesday
