The new standard includes referring to a person with a name or pronoun that accurately reflects their gender, as well as using inclusive language.
“So when we talk about mothers, there are other people who can carry children and that includes trans-men, non-binary, intersex people, With a little shift in language you can be inclusive of them,” she says.
