Kapa-Kingi triplets Eru, Heemi and Tipene and Northland councillor Phoenix Ruka have developed an online wananga series Never Ceded.
Eru Kapa-Kingi says younger Māori are keen to learn what the Treaty of Waitangi did and didn’t do.
The starting point is to make people realise the rangatiratanga within themselves
“That’s the primary focus of this kaupapa, reinstiling the belief of rangatiratanga and then step two is living it out, whether that’s politically, socially, culturally, or probably all one and the same,” Mr Kapa-Kingi says.
