Kiingi Tuheitia has visited Hawke’s Bay and Wairoa to support people recovering from Cyclone Gabrielle.
The King was welcomed onto Omahu Marae yesterday by Ngāti Kahungunu.
Marae chair Meihana Watson says the visit is a huge morale lifter for people suffering great damage from the cyclone.
The King was taken on a tour of the devastation around Omahu and Wairoa,
He spent the day also visiting Ngati Kahungunu marae in Wairoa and Tangoio Maraenear Ahuriri
