White Ribbon takes on violence challenge

It’s White Ribbon Day and the start of 16 days of action to draw attention to domestic and sexual violence.
Manager Rob McCann says White Ribbon website is chock full of information and tools to help people tackle the problem
He says violence can happen in any family.
“We have to play a role as parents, caregivers, coaches, whatever our role is with our young men to ensure they understand what a healthy and respectful relationship looks like so that’s the main thing we honestly want people to take out this White Ribbon Day,” Mr McCann says.
With the death this month of anti-violence campaigner Lesley Elliott, White Ribbon has taken on the work of the foundation she set up after her daughter Sophie Elliott was murdered by an ex boyfriend.
