The sixth album in Troy Kingi's project to make 10 albums in 10 years across 10 different genres is now out - and the Northland singer songwriter says the seventh is in the can.

Year of the Ratbags and Their Musty Theme Songs, which was released last week, draws on the sound of the eighties.
He says while he found much of the waiata from the decade too cheesy for his taste, he came to appreciate some of the era’s experimental sounds.
He now has to put the finishing touches on the next instalment.
“The placeholder name right now is Timewasters, the Eastern Spaghetti Western Soundtrack so that might end up being the actual thing for next year, we’ll see,” Kingi says.
