Aotearoa New Zealand’s elite men’s and women’s crews have taken a clean sweep on day two of the 2022 IVF Va’a World Sprint Championships, winning both finals on Dorney Lake in England.

James Papali’i says from tomorrow elite paddlers will return to their clubs, facing off against kai hoe from Canada, Brazil, Italy, Tahiti, Hawai’i and more.

He says there’s been plenty of socialising with other crews from around the world and even the opportunity to bless a newly-built waka for an English club.
