Mana added to jersey despite rare loss

Māori Development Minister says it was a great effort by the Māori All Blacks in Wellington yesterday, despite losing to Ireland 24-30.
It means the visitors drew the two-match series, after being thrashed 32-17 in Hamilton.
Mr Jackson presented jerseys to the Māori team before the game and shared some of the histories of Māori rugby.
He says New Zealand Rugby needs to continue to treat Māori rugby seriously.
“We need more than one or two games because it’s an expression of our nationhood, this Māori rugby team. When you have young fellas now, they’re speaking Māori, they’re doing great haka, they represent us so well and that was a great moment for me as Māori Development Minister,” Mr Jackson says.
He says even a midweek touring team is hard to beat on tour, and Māori went into the game without eight All Blacks.
