Growth hacker wins Matariki Award

The co-founder of a company that is helping some of the world’s biggest brands manage rapid growth has won the Waitā Award for Business and Innovation at the Whakaata Māori 2022 Matariki Awards.
Ōtepoti-based Kale Panoho from Ngapuhi started K&J Growth with Los Angeles based Jonathan Maxim five years ago, and last year it was ranked 28th on Inc.’s list of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in California.
It’s the force behind user acquisition campaigns for international brands such as TikTok, Microsoft, Comcast, as well as government agencies, start ups and other growth minded companies across the world.
Mr Panoho and his team also helped with the roll out of New Zealand’s free digital enablement training scheme, Digital Boost, which has helped more than 47,000 Kiwi business owners use digital tools.
