Ngāpuhi needs to fix Seymour problem

ACT leader David Seymour has been challenged to spell out his whakapapa so Ngāpuhi can take him in hand.
Mr Seymour last week said he was proud of his Māori whakapapa after being called a “useless Māori” by Māori Development Minister Willie Jackson for his plan to shut down all state agencies with a Māori focus.
Ngāti Whātua and Ngāpuhi elder Dame Naida Glavish say she’s few up with people claiming to be Māori while promoting anti-Māori politics.
“I would challenge David Seymour to be honest about what his whakapapa actually is so Ngāpuhi knows which strand of Ngāpuhi needs to fix itself up so Seymour is not left in a limb trying to hide behind the title of Ngāpuhi, the whakapapa of Ngāpuhi and behave like a tauiwi,” she says.
