Māori Women’s Welfare League’s past president Dame Aroha Reriti-Crofts died in Christchurch at the age of 83.
Dame Aroha was from Ngāi Tūāhuriri, who she represented on Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu.
She served as league president from 1990 to 1993, and she was also prominent in Te Hāhi Rātana.
