Groups organising Matariki events now have a logo they can use in their branding.
Te Tohu o Matariki was designed by Tyrone Ohia of Extended Whānau and unveiled this week by Kelvin Davis and Kiri Allan.
Matariki will be officially celebrated as a public holiday for the first time on 24 June.
Mr Davis says the tohu symbolises how Matariki weaves us together as people, interconnected through our past, present and future.
