Monday’s Auckland Anniversary Day regatta on Waitematā Harbour will be without waka ama and dragon boats.

Organiser Joyce Talbot says while the yacht, tug boat and classic launch races can go ahead under Covid restrictions, but not the Māori section of the programme.

“We’re all really disappointed but quite sure they’ll be back in force in 2023 to celebrate their 10th year with us,” she says.
