Māori tackle media issues at summit

Māori and Pasifika media workers will have a rare opportunity to discuss the issues they face as journalists at a one-day hui next week.
The Public Interest Journalism Fund Summit will be held on Friday 21 January – both in-person in Tāmaki Makaurau and online via Zoom.
The event will support media intending to apply for the fund as well as facilitating engagement and collaboration across the sector.
Sessions will be led by Irirangi Te Motu (NZ On Air), Journalism Education Association of New Zealand (JEANZ), Moana Media collective and the Māori journalist rōpū, Kawea Te Rongo.
