Little prods ministry laggards
The Health Ministry is getting the hurry-along – again – from its minister over release of data to the Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency.
The High Court on Monday gave the ministry three days to complete agreements on release of data on unvaccinated Māori in the North Island and review its decision about giving the agency contact details for Māori who are overdue for their second shot.
Andrew Little says he doesn’t agree with the ministry’s delay strategy.
“I made my expectation clear some time ago, following the first High Court decision that said this is an emergency and should be treated as such, that as much information as can possibly be released should be released so it is disappointing if it is the case that the Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency is still waiting for the relevant information to be released,” the minister says.
