Bus jab drive gets tick from Papakura MP
Vaccination busses started rolling through south Auckland today.
National Party leader and Papakura MP Judith Collins says making vaccines available near to where people live or congregate is the right approach.
“For particularly the Pasifika community, who we know are more likely to go to big church services, that’s a good place for them to go. Go to the marae, Manurewa Marae was a big vax centre from early on, that was a good one, but there was nothing in Papakura. Now there is but a bit late. Get them in the busses,” she says.
Ms Collins also wants to see vax busses used in Taitokerau, Tairāwhiti and other places with larger rural Māori populations.
