The Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry is postponing next month’s hearing at Ōrākei Marae because of the Covid outbreak.
Chair Coral Shaw the hearing will be held as soon as the situation allows.
She says the voices and experiences of Māori survivors of abuse in care are critical to the inquiry.
The Royal Commission’s contact centre remains open throughout the lockdown.
