Katae staps up to lead Tamaki Regeneration
Shelley Katae from Te Rarawa and Ngāti Porou has been appointed chief executive of Tāmaki Regeneration Company, the crown and Auckland Council entity which is building more than 10,000 homes and supporting infrastructure in Glen Innes, Point England and Panmure.
Board chair Evan Davies says she’s a visionary leader who can connect with a wide range of people and organisations to drive equity outcomes for the Tāmaki community.
Ms Katae joined the organisation in 2013 as chief financial officer and has been its strategy manager since 2015.
She is also on the National Hauora Coalition board, Counties Manukau District Health Board’s major capital works advisory committee, Auckland Sport & Recreation AKTIVE and Ngāti Tūwharetoa commercial arm Taupo Moana Ltd.
