Fund open for Maori suicide prevention
The Centre of Māori Suicide Prevention Te Rau Ora is calling for proposals for the projects that build the capacity of Māori whānau, hapū and iwi to prevent suicide within communities.
The Māori Community Suicide Prevention Fund will pay up to $100,000 for projects designed and implemented by Māori.
Last year it funded 74 initiatives.
Projects can also be designed to increase support to Māori experiencing suicide risk and/or are bereaved by suicide; strengthen resilience and wellbeing; and build inclusive Māori communities.
Applications must be in by September 10.
