Online board game retailer Game Kings is donating every school in New Zealand a copy of its Tākaro te reo Māori learning game.

The game asks players to memorise and recall symbols along with their direct Māori translations.

Game Kings founder Eliot Jessep says the company had promised to donate a copy for every game sold, and even though sales fell short, it decided all 2556 schools will get a copy.
