Ngai Tahu teams up with Datacom for jobs and tech
Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu have signed a strategic partnership with the largest New Zealand-owned technology services company that will give more young Māori a pathway into the tech sector.
Datacom Group CEO Greg Davidson says the agreement is part of the company’s search for new channels for training and development, and it will also help it better understand the needs of Māori in the tech sector.
Datacom will offer training and placements for Ngāi Tahu rangatahi as well as help the rūnanga develop its technical capability.
