Kiritapu Allen back at work

East Coast MP Kiritapu Allan is back in Parliament today after completing treatment for cervical cancer.

Ms Allen used her Facebook page to thank her medical team and everyone who has sent prayers and messages of support.

She also reminded people to get any smear tests, breast screens, prostate checks and any other health checks they need to stay healthy and safe.

Ms Allen will resume her Conservation portfolio and associate responsibilities for Environment and Arts Culture and Heritage, but for now responsibility for Emergency Management will stay with Kris Faafoi, given that it’s a 24/7 on call job.
