Budget for the strugglers

Labour Minister Kelvin Davis says he’s proud the Government has delivered a Labour Budget.
He says it was also good to do something for beneficiaries and lower paid workers.
"Our party is about making sure everybody has the opportunity to get on in life and those people who get the least in life finally got something. Those people who are doing okay in life, they had their chance previously. Now it is time for people who are struggling a bit," he says.
He says Māori did well, with just shy of $1 billion going to the health and housing portfolios overseen by Associate Minister Peeni Henare.
