Karawhiua campaign to ease vaccine fears

Te Puni Kōkiri has launched a campaign to encourage Māori to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Northland public health doctor Mataroria Lyndon, who features in the Be a doer! Karawhiua campaign, says now the vaccine is being rolled out, many Māori want to know more about its effectiveness and safety, any side-effects, and what’s in it.

The Karawhiua campaign aims to encourage the uptake by putting out trusted information into the community in a way that will resonate with Māori.

The campaign includes television commercials and a dedicated website at Karawhiua.nz.
