ACC asking Maori to design targeted services

The Accident Compensation Commission is seeking tenders from kaupapa Māori providers who can help develop new services to give injured Māori greater access, improved experiences of ACC care and better health outcomes.
Chief customer officer Emma Powell says Māori are more likely to sustain a serious, life-changing injury while facing barriers to accessing support.
The first tender this month will be for members of a panel to design services in the Tainui rohe.
The first phase will focus on services to support ACC clients with complex and high-level needs including serious injuries and sensitive claims.
