Waipareira ramps up for vaccine push
Te Whānau o Waipareira and the Waitematā District Health Board are opening a Covid vaccination clinic for west Auckland in the former Noel Leeming warehouse on Catherine St in Henderson.
Waipareira CEO John Tamihere says Te Whare Tūhono has gone through a total refit to ensure the vaccination process is as seamless as possible for whānau.
The building will open with a dawn ceremony on Monday, and should be running to full capacity once the general population vaccination roll out for those aged 16 and over starts in July.
Mr Tamihere expects the clinic will run as efficiently as Waipareira’s Covid CBAC in Henderson, which can swab people in a minute.
Waipareira will also run a Vax to the Max campaign online and on social media, including a video walk through of the vaccination process and answers to questions about the vaccination schedule, the Pfizer Vaccine, and how to check your vaccination booking.
