Reti confident Nats team staying

National Party deputy leader Shane Reti is dismissing speculation former leader Simon Bridges could be on the comeback trail, with high profile new MP Christopher Luxon in tow.
Recent polls have found National failing to increase on its election night showing of just 26.5 percent, and leader Judith Collins on 8 percent support.
Dr Reti says caucus has affirmed Ms Collins as leader.
"I feel confident in the position as mātenga tuarua that I have as well and Judith is the leader and I believe she will be the leader in 2023 and she will be the next Prime Minister," he says.
National today released its new housing policy, including making urban councils to immediately zone more land for housing, limiting appeals under the Resource Management Act and giving local authorities a $50,000 infrastructure grant for every new dwelling they consent above their five-year historical average.
