Youth and experience for Whai Rawa team

Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa has taken on an experienced asset manager as it looks to regenerate its Te Toangaroa precinct from The Strand to Britomart.
Liam Carey was part of the Labtech London team behind the regeneration and Hawley Wharf, a major mixed used development project in Camden, which now includes the largest farmer’s market in North London, 150 retail stores, apartments and offices.
More recently he was an acquisitions manager with Kainga Ora.
Also joining the team is recent graduate Maraika Rose Lidgard, the first wahine to win Auckland University’s Māori business student of the year award, who will help to coordinate the Whai Rawa property portfolio which includes the Oneoneroa residential development on the North Shore, the Kāinga Tuatahi whānau housing project in Ōrākei and the Kowhai Ridge joint venture with Fletcher Living in Massey.
