Bramley joins COVID response advisory group

Waitematā District Health board chief executive Dale Bramley from Ngāpuhi and Te Whānau a Apanui has been given the task of representing the Māori viewpoint on a new advisory group on New Zealand’s COVID-19 response.
Minister Chris Hipkins says independent advice has been important to the Government’s response, including reviews of contact tracing systems and the implementation of the testing strategy.
As well as monitoring the implementation of previous reviews, the group will consider the performance of managed isolation and quarantine facilities, planning for an outbreak, and public communications.
The group will be chaired by government troubleshooter Sir Brian Roche, and includes former Air New Zealand chief executive Rob Fyfe, Pacific health policy specialist Dr Suitafa Debbie Ryan, epidemiologist and infectious diseases expert Professor Phillip Hill, and Dr Bramley.
