Maori providers train vaccinators

The owner of the Whānau Ora Community Clinic in Manukau says Māori health providers the country are gearing up for the COVID vaccine rollout.
George Ngatai says from Manukau's Whānau Ora Community Clinic says they're are already training staff to deal with the largest inoculation campaign in New Zealand history.
"We've certainly been doing that over the last month or so and we've also been speaking with other Māori providers to start that process of getting ourselves organised, but we certainly want to see an increase in the number of Māori who will be vaccinated over the next three to six months,' he says.
Mr Ngatai wants to see Māori and Pasifika communities given priority for vaccination because of their high risk status.
