Ngai Tahu cash in on All Black legacy
Ngāi Tahu Tourism has opened its latest attraction, a joint venture with New Zealand Rugby at Auckland’s SkyCity Federal Street.
Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu kaiwhakahaere Lisa Tumahai says the opening of the All Blacks Experience is an important milestone for the iwi, which has a proud tradition of whānau being selected for the All Blacks, Māori All Blacks, Black Ferns, and other national rugby teams.
All Blacks Experience board chair Dame Julie Christie says judging by the reactions of former All Blacks and Black Ferns to previews of state-of-the-art guided encounter, the attraction is going to bring joy to both fans and those who are new to the national game.
All Blacks Experience is the first major tourism attraction to launch in Aotearoa since the outbreak of COVID-19.
