Trans Tasman rivalry heightened in women’s draw


Seeding for next year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup has guaranteed a big turnout for the first game at Eden Park with New Zealand and Australia balloted into the same pool.
The Black Ferns must also best Wales and the winner of the final qualifying tournament in their pool to get through to the next stage in the competition.
Speaking from this morning’s draw, New Zealand Rugby board member and television producer Bailey Mackey, said strong pools add to the excitement of a tournament.
