Rota to lead young squad for Ferns clash

The new Kiwi Ferns captain says leading the team out for Saturday's test against Fetu Samoa will be a dream come true.
Krystal Rota made her debut for the national women's rugby league team in 2016, and has captained both the Māori All-Stars team and Counties Manukau.
Last weekend she led Counties Manukau to an 11th national title, beating Akarana Falcons in the final of the Sky Sport NZRL National Women’s Premiership.
Rota says the call to lead the Ferns was a surprise.
"When I was asked to accept the captaincy I was pretty much speechless. Of course I will. There is nothing more in my footy career I would ever want," she says.
The Kiwi Ferns will field 11 new players this Saturday.
