Paul Morgan set for hall of fame

A leader in Māori tribal enterprise has been selected for inclusion in the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame.
Paul Morgan of Ngāti Rārua and Te Māhurehure chairs Nelson-based Wakatū Incorporation and sits on a number of boards including being a director of High-Value Nutrition National Science Challenge.
He sees business as a group of people working together towards a shared kaupapa, which he learned from working with his father’s people in Te Tau Ihu.
"We were a people that lost our land effectively. We had to buy the improvements back on our land and start to build a business. So you've got to have the commitment, you've got to have persistence, there's no such thing as 'we can't do this,' you've got to find ways to work together and in those early days limited resources to achieve and the outcome you are setting out to do," Mr Morgan says.
Paul Morgan will officially be inducted into the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame at a gala evening next March.
