Pufferfish take gives asthma tips


A te reo Māori theatre presentation is helping tamariki know what to do about asthma attacks.
The Asthma and Respiratory Foundation has teamed up with the Māori Language Commission to help Hinerongonui Kingi present her musical Heremana Te Koputotara or Sailor the Pufferfish at kura Māori in Wellington.
Foundation chief executive Letitia Harding it has helped teachers and tauira alike.
"They didn't know what to do if there wan an asthma emergency and we have actually had children who have had an asthma attack not long after the show has been in their school and the teachers and other children have known what to do in those situations," she says.
