Māori lessons lockdown reading choice

Scotty Morrison’s book Māori Made Easy is one of 10 New Zealand books to have made Whitcoull's annual Top 100 Books List, coming in halfway down the list at 53.
Book manager Joan Mackenzie says the notion of supporting homegrown writers has clearly resonated with the kiwi readers who vote for the annual list.
West Coast Ngāi Tahu writer Becky Manawatu’s novel Auē, which won the Fiction Prize in the 2020 Ockham Book Awards was voted in at number 30.
The number one spot was again held by J.K Rowling for the Harry Potter series.
