Peters’ pixie dust attack classless

Greens co-leader James Shaw is calling the opening salvos of New Zealand First leader Winston Peters’ election campaign classless.
Mr Peters told party members on Sunday the party had stopped woke pixie dust from its coalition partners, and on Tuesday he said the Greens’ wealth tax proposal was away with the fairies.
Mr Shaw says as parties near the election they need to differentiate themselves, but Mr Peters seems to be doing that by attacking the people he has worked most closely with over the past three years.
"That was particularly classless. If he wanted to distinguish himself he could talk about all the great stuff New Zealand First have done and all the great stuff they might do if they are back in government, rather than that it was the worst three years of his life. I think that shows a particular character," he says.
