Artist and educator Sandy Adsett has been given the Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi’s Icon Award, acknowledging his extraordinary lifetime achievements and mark on the arts.
The other Whakamana Hiranga recipients this year are writer Joy Cowley and actor Sam Neill, making up the 20 living artists who can hold the award at any one time.
