No new COVID case in 14 days

It’s now two weeks since there has been a new case of COVID-19 in New Zealand.
Only one case remains active.
The Health Ministry says seven significant clusters have closed, with the World Hereford Conference cluster declared closed today with no new cases for 28 days from the date when all cases have completed isolation.
Half a million people have now registered on the NZ COVID Tracer app.
The ministry says in response to feedback it has simplified the process for firms to create a unique QR code.
The app is designed to support contact tracing efforts if new cases emerge, including when the country moves to Level 1.
A decision on that could be made by Cabinet next week.
