One of the people from the Marist College COVID-19 cluster says he can’t understand why people connected with the school weren’t tested earlier.
All students and staff of the Auckland school have now been invited to get a test, but only one new case has emerged.
Geoff Mulianga, who contracted the coronavirus while running an event at the school, says the exercise will at least give people peace of mind, as he found when he was retested after what felt like a further episode of the illness.
"The fact that I’m walking around now, I've returned to my family and normal duties, I'm not spreading something that is still in my system. I think (students and staff) should have been tested weeks ago," he says.
