Toi story – crisis cash plan for arts explained

Creative New Zealand is holding an online hui today to explain how artists, performer and arts sector organisations can access a $16 million Emergency Response Package.
The package is intended to carry the sector through to June 30, providing an income top-up as well as delivering opportunities for new and refocused creative projects that work in a landscape changed by COVID-19.
The hui co-hosted with Performing Arts Network of NZ and Auckland Live will be livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook, starting at 11am.
Chief executive Stephen Wainwright says it will cover not only the package but also the organisation’s wider response to the pandemic but its work to advocate for the value of the arts through the crisis.
There are special Zoom drop-in sessions for the Pacific arts community tomorrow and ngā toi Māori on Friday.
