Te Putahitanga identifying lockdown needs

Te Putahitanga o Te Waipounamu is looking at ways to help whānau to stay connected while they are locked down in their own homes.
The South Island whānau ora commissioning agency is preparing a series of initiatives to support whānau get through the Covid-19 crisis.
Chief executive says Māori are over-represented in the groups classified as vulnerable to Covid-19, and it’s important to get support to those who need it most.
Te Pūtahitanga is surveying whānau to see who needs support, and what that support looks like.
She says a key component will be the #Manaaki20 website and social media campaign which has been created to share the great mahi that’s already happening and inspire each other to keep working together.
