Ihumātao protectors will get the star treatment through a new series on Māori Television.
Scottie Douglas Productions has been tagged to get up to $697,000 from the NZ On Air / Te Māngai Pāho Māori Factual Co-Fund to produce three 52-minute episodes of Ake, Ake, Ake!
It's described as being a deeply personal account of Ihumātao that tells the story of a new generation of protest.
The programme makers were given behind-the-scenes access to the Save Our Unique Landscape campaign.
