Rangatahi are taking center stage in the lead up to this year’s Polyfest.

100 students from participating Auckland secondary schools will take part in a two-day leadership conference tomorrow and Thursday where Maori and Pacific Island leaders will take them through a series of cultural master classes.
Festival director Seiuli Terri Leo-Mauu says Polyfest is a highlight of the year for many young performers and a staple of the Auckland's cultural calendar.
"Its a celebration of our resilence, our energy and our drive to continue celebrating our culture and our heritage. Our theme this year is healing the body, mind and spirit with the strength of culture and we're really interesting seeing how they come around the theme."
